Say NO To Oatmeal!

If you read most health books or magazines, almost everyone recommends eating a nice bowl of oatmeal for breakfast.
 
And to be be honest with you... it's not the best choice.
Many oatmeals are highly refined, which leads to a big insulin rush when eating them followed by an energy 'crash'. Anyone I know who's sensitive to carbohydrates simply does not do well with oatmeal.

Plus many of today's 'instant' oatmeals are loaded with sugars, additives and garbage which basically just erases any of the health benefits you could have gotten from the oatmeal.

Instead, I recommend (and personally eat) Quinoa.
 
Commonly considered a grain, quinoa (pronounced keen-wah)is actually related to leafy green vegetables such as spinach, chard and beets.
 
Once considered the 'mother seed' of the Incas, this South American native is a nutritional powerhouse.
 
Quinoa supplies all nine essential amino acids, making it a complete protein.
 
This is the only "plant" that I know that can claim this!
 
In addition to being a protein, quinoa is an excellent source for manganese, magnesium, iron, copper, phosphorus and fiber.
 
This morning I added some honey and blueberries to my quinoa and it tastes  amazing! Substitute quinoa instead of oatmeal and watch your fat loss and energy increase.
